Green screen Hollywood technology, AKA chroma key is a technique used by filmmakers to mix two separate pictures together. This works by making the background ( a solid color which is mostly green or blue ) transparent in order to show another image which is the actual background that’ll be shown on film. This method of filming is often referred to as color keying, blue screen, and color separation overlay ( CSO ). It was essentially used for weather reports. Forecasters were shot in front of chroma key screens and the background was replaced by actual maps that indicate weather forecasts . The chroma key strategy is also used by filmmakers and photographers alike.
The green screen first made its appearance in the 1930′s at RKO Radio footage. The backdrop used back then was blue. This method of film making was developed to create special effects for the film “The burglar of Bagdad.” aside from the chroma key technique, filmmakers depended on a tedious and time intensive process called “travelling matte.” This made transition such as “wipes” possible .
Larry butler is understood to be responsible for pioneering the blue screen technique. Actually, he even took home an Academy Award for visual effects for his work in “The burglar of Bagdad.” After his accomplishment in the 30′s, servant was the first to use chroma key technology in Technicolor, paving the way for modern green screen Hollywood technology.
The 1st films to profit from Chroma Key technology was the flick adaption of Ernest Hemingway famous novella, “The Old Man and the Sea,” starring Spencer Tracy. After the “Old Man and the Sea,” more films used the chroma key method. Some famous film that make use of chroma key technology are The Empire Strikes Back, Lord of the Rings, Titanic, Star Trek, and even three hundred. Films that employ CGI or computer generated images are also made with the aid of green screen technology. This is how having out of this world settings and fantastic creatures are able to be shown on film.
Today, green screen Hollywood technology isn’t just confined to massive budget studios. It’s also used in photography. From the opening blue screen, green was used later on because filmmakers found out that a green background doesn’t need tedious lighting. Cameras are most sensitive to this color, so the result of films shot on green screens are less difficult to work with and manipulate. With that said, chroma key technology is now known to photographers and filmmakers’ best friend.

Austin, Texas, 02/24/10 – Soils Control International establishes front lines for environmental advancement in Ecuador. SCI is going to be delivering dust suppression, soil stabilization and erosion control in the advancing country.
Soils Control International (SCI) has recently established a distribution point in Ecuador to deliver Dust Control for the country and surrounding areas. The importance of dust control concerning the environment have been well studied and determined to be of upmost importance when handling dirt and gravel type roads. It’s the intention of SCI to help emerging countries to manage their resources as well as their finances by offering a product that not only supports the environment but in addition, their pocket book.
Soils Control International have been in the dust control and soil stabilization business for almost 1 / 4 of a century. The bulk of the operations have been with governments of third world countries trying to make lives better for their citizens. SCI has developed a dust suppression and soil stabilization product which has revolutionized the industry. There is no longer that need to use hazardous materials such as waste oil and industrial byproducts. SCI’s Main dust suppression product is Labeled Top-Seal™ Liquid Soil Stabilizer and Sealant. It is one of the only road dust control products available on the market which has been documented as environmentally save and extremely effective for the stabilization of soils as well as the control of dust.
“These are exciting times in Ecuador with so many Americans moving into the country there are lots of new developments being built as well as the need for the rebuilding most of the natural roads in the country.” said Kurt Tompkins, Assistant Director of Field Operations, “Our company is involved here to help lots of individuals find a better life in Ecuador, the citizens of this country are going to be better off when the roads are in better shape as a result of our dust suppression products and the cost of building homes is reduced from the launch of our village Builder™.”
Dust suppression up to now has relied on the usage of water and waste materials form industries that have not had outlets for their byproducts. Many businesses in the soil stabilization industry are fly by night operations that are more fluff than anything else. SCI has proven, in application and rigorous testing, that Top-Seal™ is not only one of the best soils management products, but probably the most cost effective as well. It is important to recognize that soil stabilization as well as the management of fugitive dust producing roads is highly relevant to the effects of global warming. It has been proven that the absorption rate and level of radiation from paved roads is much higher than that of stabilized dirt roads. It is also well know that the erosion from unprotected roads will eventually end up in the drinking water, thus showing once again the importance of managing dirt and gravel roads. The utilization of dust suppression and soil stabilization in developing countries can help not just the ability commute, but also the ability to stay healthy.
Over the following few years SCI is going to be concentrating on expanding its operations inside the Central and South American countries. SCI will not just be presenting its dust suppression and soil stabilization product Top-Seal™, but the Village Builder®, which is a portable brick making machine that utilizes the properties of Block Seal™, our proprietary liquid earth block sealer and stabilizer.

Everyone wants a sparkling car, but proper maintenance of cars is not a simple thing. If you want your car to shine as new, increase its life, or get a really good resale price, you should devote some time and energy to give it a makeover.
Usage over a period of time eventually causes the sheen of the car to be ruined by stains, making it look ragged, particularly if the old layer of paint is getting discoloured. A comprehensive car care routine including car wash, waxing, and car polishing can restore the look of your vehicle.
You first need to clean all the dirt through a thorough car wash with adequate water and shampoo, after which you have to consider either waxing or polishing it. There is a lot of confusion about car polishing and car waxing, and when they must be applied. It is essential for you as a car owner to have a fair idea of what treatment your car requires.
Car wax is made from carnauba and other wax ingredients, which make the car glisten and sparkle. Since car waxes lack abrasive substances, they can’t remove marks that are very prominent. They are also not able to withstand a severe temperature.
Whereas car polishes contain a special substance called Teflon, which makes them stay longer on your car and provides it a brand new appearance. Polish is also much more successful in hiding stubborn marks and scratches.
If your car has to deal with dust and grime on the road everyday, car polishing is normally the best solution. Car wax may be able to give your car an external shine suitable for special events but not for daily use. So you should keep in mind the model and build of the car and your daily routine when you think about what your car needs, and then decide upon a product that makes the car look brand new and also fit for use for several years.

Almost everyone who has been in debt has received the dreaded telephone call from a collections company. But oftentimes one phone call turns into twenty, and even worse, an agent may be aggressive and threatening on the phone.
While it may be true that collections agents are trying to collect a legitimate debt, more and more negative attention is being focused on unfair and aggressive policies that some companies have been using.
Some of the more aggressive practices caught the eyes of James Caldwell, Louisiana attorney general and Washington attorney general Ron McKenna who have both promised to make accounts receivable management firms and their owners clean up after their acts.
In fact, Caldwell has already obtained injunctions on January 8th against two collection companies that weren’t complying with the standards that have been set for obtaining debt.
On the same day McKenna stated that his office had just come to an agreement with a collection agency that agreed to comply with new restrictions that have been established.
Some of the new boundaries that these collection agencies must comply with include more effective communication. This means that any harassment, intimidation, threats, profanity, or attempts to embarrass the debtor are now out of the question.
With these new settlements, these collection agencies under scrutiny will no longer be able to intimidate debtors through implications such as failing to pay a debt will result in a suspension of the debtor’s driver’s license.
Finally, although these collection companies are able to lawfully report debts to credit reporting agencies, they are no longer permitted to threaten debtors with impairment of their credit rating.
Although collections agencies are justifiably trying to collect a legitimate debt, there are two issues to remember. People who owe money are just that, people, who deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. More importantly, if a debtor is scared of an aggressive collections agent who calls them constantly they very well just stop picking up the calls, leaving themselves in debt, and the collection agencies with nothing.
